Sarah's Story

This incredibly sweet and gentle lab mix is ready for a bright new chapter filled with love, patience, and understanding. She has a soft spirit and would thrive in a calm, caring home—especially one with a confident canine companion who can help show her the ropes. If you already have a dog, we’ll require a meet & greet to ensure they’re a good match. Sarah came to us from Humane World for Animals (formerly HSUS) after receiving a TPLO surgery and a Medial Patellar Luxation repair. She also has Patellar Luxation in her left hind limb, so she may need long-term supportive care, such as joint supplements, maintaining a healthy weight, and potential pain management as needed. Our kennel staff can answer any questions and provide helpful articles about her surgeries. Because she is timid with new people and places, we recommend children 10+, though families with younger kids who have experience with shy or nervous dogs are welcome to discuss this with us. Please remember that slow introductions—with both people and animals—are important for her comfort. Sarah is looking for a special home that can offer her the time, love, and patience she needs to truly blossom. Our kennel team is excited to help and answer any questions when you come to meet her!
