Santita (TX)'s Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Santita (TX), aka Sassy to her foster, is a female terrier mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Santita is 3 years old at the time of intake in March 2024, so she is about 5 years old as of August 2025. Santita is good with people and dogs. She is not a huge fan of cats so a house without would be best for this lady. Santita's foster mom reports she is housebroken, will sit, give paw and sit pretty. She also likes to play catch, and she will even bring the ball back and drop it at your feet. She thinks she's a reindeer, running, jumping and skipping like one. She loves looking out the window during car rides.Santita was found with 98 other hoarded dogs, and she can be shy with people. Small children might be too fast and too loud for her just now, but this sweet girl has come so far and has so much love to give. If you can show Santita love and welcome her into your family, please apply online to adopt Santita (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
