Sansa's Story

Meet Sansa!

Sansa is a tiny gentle girl who simply longs for love and companionship. Although she can be shy at first, she quickly warms up once she feels safe and secure. She loves to cuddle and will soak up all the affection you can give her.

In her foster home, Sansa gets along nicely with her foster brother. While she's not one to engage with toys or balls just yet, we're working on finding ways to get her more active. She loves to sit in front of a window and just stare out unless a squirl crosses her path ( not fond of them).

Potty training is going very well, she will use the pads if she is not let out fast enough. We have not had a chance to work on leash training due to her not being able to walk much. Basic commands are coming along with encouragements from treats. Sansa is so loving and just loves being around her person.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt

El Paso County Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please bear with us as we process applications! We are working on changing our processes to function during the COVID-19 outbreak. We have had a big increase in people wanting to adopt (yay!) so it's taking us a bit of time to get through the applications. We work on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must apply for adoption before you will be able to meet with a pup. If you meet with a dog and decide to adopt, we can process your adoption right then and you can go home with your new family member! Thank you for adopting from us and saving our sweet dogs!
