SANGIE's Story
01/29/26 09:36 Meet Sangie — a sweet, soulful 3-year-old girl who’s been patiently waiting for her forever home since August 2025.

Sangie is the kind of dog who always wants to share her joy. She adores toys and is happiest when she’s proudly carrying one around, showing it off to anyone who will look. She always wants to leave her kennel with her toy and is always ready for a game of fetch. If you see her trotting by with a toy in her mouth, tail wagging, that’s just Sangie being her charming self. On walks, she’s all about the world through her nose — sniffing walks are her absolute favorite, and she takes her time soaking everything in.

She’s wonderfully friendly with people and lights up when meeting someone new. New faces are her favorite, and she’s always excited to say hello and make a new friend. That said, shelter life has been hard on her. Like many sensitive dogs, Sangie has developed some reactivity to other dogs while living in this stressful environment. With patience, consistency, and love, she has so much potential to blossom once she’s out of the shelter and into a calmer home.

Sangie is looking for a kind, understanding adopter who’s willing to work with her and help her settle into the next chapter of her life and relax. In return, you’ll get a loyal companion who loves deeply, carries her toys like treasures, and is ready to explore the world one sniff at a time by your side.

If you’re looking for a dog with heart, personality, and a whole lot of love to give, Sangie just might be your girl. 10/30/25 11:31 Looking for a loyal best friend who will greet every day (and you!) with pure happiness? Meet Sangie, a beautiful white pit bull with a heart as big as her smile!

Sangie is a fun-loving girl who adores her toys — seriously, she’ll carry one around just to show off how proud she is! Whether it’s a squeaky toy, a rope, or her favorite plushie, she’s happiest with something in her mouth to keep her entertained. When she gets excited (which is often), she lets out the sweetest little whines — her way of saying, “I’m just so happy to see you!”

This wiggly bundle of love is always thrilled to meet new people and quickly wins hearts with her goofy grin and wagging tail. Sangie prefers the company of humans over dogs and doesnt like being around other dogs as much, so she’d love to be your one and only furry companion — the star of your home and the queen of your couch.

If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate, toy-loving best friend who will fill your days with laughter and love, Sangie is ready to steal your heart forever. On physical exam at time of intake, this animal was noted to have a Grade II/VI heart murmur. When her heart was ausculted at time of spay, the murmur was not appreciated. At this time, the animal is bright, alert, responsive, and not showing clinical signs of heart disease (no cough, collapse, or exercise intolerance observed).

A heart murmur indicates turbulent blood flow within the heart. The cause of this murmur is unknown without further diagnostics (such as echocardiogram or chest radiographs). Some murmurs can remain stable and not cause illness, while others may progress over time and result in heart enlargement, arrhythmias, or congestive heart failure.

02/09/26 What did we do on today’s adventure:
Today was absolutely pawsome! I had the most amazing day outside
the shelter, and boy, was I excited! I came out to meet my new friend
with one of my favorite toys (I LOVE toys!). The moment I realized I
was going on an adventure, I couldn’t stop wiggling—I was
practically vibrating with joy. I needed a little help into the car, my
whole body down to my tail wagging and ready to roll, as if I’d done
this a hundred times before.
Our destination? Los Alamitos Trail! As soon as we hit the trail, my
nose went into overdrive—so many smells, so little time! We strolled
about 5 miles, stopping now and then in the grass for a quick roll
around and, water, and of course, some glamour shots. I walked with
great leash manners, even though I was brimming with energy and
excitement. I couldn’t stop smiling and everyone I passed by smiled
too! Several people stopped to say how adorable and well-behaved I
was. I soaked up the compliments like sunshine!
After the park, we made a stop at Jeffrey Fontana Park so I could
play ball, which I also love!
Today was full of joy, sniffs, smiles, and tail wags. I can’t wait for my
next big outing!
What should potential adopters know about me: A Day with the
Happiest Girl
Today was such a rewarding and joyful day—I got to take one of our
amazing pups out for an offsite adventure, and she truly made it
special. From the moment I saw Sangie, carrying her squeaky toy,
she was all wiggles and excitement. She could hardly contain
herself! As soon as the door opened, she happily trotted out, smelling
all the smells that the shelter entrance offers. After a quick pee break,
we got into the care, with a little help, and started our adventure.
We headed to Almaden Lake Park for a nice long walk. She was full
of happy energy, stopping to roll in the grass exuding happiness and
joy! Sangie walked nicely on leash, staying close and checking in
periodically. We walked about five miles of trail, stopping here and
there for a roll around and to take lots of photos. Her joyful spirit was
contagious—people we passed couldn’t help but smile and comment
on what a sweet, happy dog she was.
After our walk, we made a pit stop at Jeffrey Fontana Park so we
could play ball. He was such a gentleman in the store, calmly
walking through the aisles She still had some pep in her step and
loves playing with toys and fetch!
Sangie truly shined—confident, curious, playful, and affectionate. It
was wonderful to see how well she did outside the shelter
environment. He made my day, and I hope our little outing gave her a sense of freedom, joy, and a reminder that she’s deeply loved and
deserves a forever home soon.
Three words to describe me: Happy, Affectionate, Playful
