Sandy's Story

Hi! My name is Sandy!

I know what you're thinking: ahh another scary pitbull! The truth is, I'm just a sweetheart
that happens to have a big head! But do you know what's even bigger than my head?! My HEART!

I know dogs that look like me have a bad reputation, but most of us are just big babies that want to be loved. I noticed that humans like to hug each other, so I learned how to hug as well! If you come to visit us at Throw Away Rescue, I will be in the front yard with my friend Olivia waiting to greet you! Don't be scared if I stand up and put my paws on you for a minute though, that's just how I hug! I'm a very affectionate dog and just want to be someone's baby. One time, my human friend came to see me, and she picked me up and held me like a baby on her hip! It was the best minute of my life!

I'm very playful and energetic, but I also like to lounge around. I'm housetrained and
good with other dogs and kids. I haven't met a cat yet though. I love when humans rub my floppy ears and give me belly rubs! I like being silly and making my friends laugh! My human friends tell me I have the best smile!

Whether you want to hike, stroll through the neighborhood, play in the backyard, or just
chill and watch Netflix-I'm your girl!

Want to be friends?!
