Sandy's Story

Meet Little Sandy 9-10 weeks old | Heeler mix Little Sandy story begins during the December 2025 rainstorms, when she, her mama, and her siblings showed up at the home of a kind Good Samaritan in the High Desert of Southern California-wet, vulnerable, and looking for help. Thanks to that act of kindness, Sandy is now safe, thriving, and ready for a forever home of her own. Sandy is a beautiful, loving puppy with a striking coat and soulful grey-blue eyes that stop you in your tracks. As a Heeler mix, she is exceptionally intelligent, curious, and eager to learn. She's already showing how smart this breed can be-and with that intelligence comes a love for engagement, enrichment, and being truly part of her person's life. Heelers do best with adopters who enjoy an active lifestyle, so we're looking for a home with a secure yard, and a human (or humans!) who love walking, hiking, beach days, and meaningful one-on-one time with their dog. Sandy isn't looking to be an accessory-she's looking for a dog-human partnership built on attention, affection, training, and adventure. Our rescue will cover Sandy's spay surgery at Simi Valley Spay Neuter Clinic when she is old enough (around 6 months). If you think Little Sandy might be your perfect match, please send your inquiry to: info@concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org She's ready to give her whole heart-now she just needs the right place to land. Located with foster family in San Bernadino
