Sandy's Story

Sandy is a 13 year old sweet chihuahua mix, approximately 10lbs. She was with the one and only Mom all her life, then circumstances changed and her Mom was not able to care for her anymore. Imagine not knowing anyone else and in a minute they are no longer with you. Pulled from NY city shelter, she has slowly come around in her foster home, and is exploring more, getting to know her furry foster siblings, and getting more comfortable with her new situation. She had been with cats only, no dogs, but is beginning to realize dogs are okay, and is doing so well with them. This sweet one just loves when you are with her, but quiet and rests in her bed when you are not around. Very easy little lady looking for the right home to spend the rest of her life in. She will warm up quickly given time too. She was so nervous and scared when she first arrived, but each day is more and more secure with her new life. At this time in her life, a home with no young children, older or none and not a really busy environment. She is very personable, but little ones would just be too much. Sandy is also wee wee pad trained and will go outside.

A home with one or two little dogs, or no dogs at all.
