Sandy's Story

Sandy was picked up as a stray and sent to a high kill shelter. She was in the shelter for a month and nobody came to claim her.

She appears to be approximately 7 months old. She has her adult teeth and you can tell that they're very new as they're still quite sharp and small. She's very affectionate and eager to please. She is on the small, slim side and will not be a large dog.

Sandy is a relatively calm girl that likes to play with toys, chew on bones and then go hanker down on the couch for a snooze. She is currently residing with a 15 month old Shepherd and they play a lot. She's a curious pup and needs engagement games to build her confidence.

She's learning these commands at the moment: Sit, down, place, look, potty on command.

She has not been tested with kids, cats or other animals (large or small). She was initially very scared of men but that is slowing going away when the proper time is given to her to explore the person on her own time.
