Sandy's Story

STCGNY Rescue Scottie Sandy is settling in to his foster home. He’s 20 months old but looks and acts like he’s 6 months. He’s friendly and good natured, super high energy and wants to be your shadow. He’s really affectionate and loves to be touching you most of the time. Unfortunately, his original dad got sick just after he bought Sandy and passed away about a year later. In a way, he’s starting his life and puppyhood over now.
This beautiful and sweetie wheatie is ready for adoption as soon as we find the right match for him. He’s neutered, vaccinated and tested, a healthy guy. He’s friendly and housetrained. In addition to the STCGNY adoption requirements, this boy needs a lot of indoor and outdoor space for his Zoomies and someone strong and agile. He can get a bit mouthy when he’s in his nightly puppy energy spurt. He craves a lot of attention. His ideal person is someone who is a young retiree or working from home and loves to snuggle. There still seems to be a little fear that he’ll be left alone again. We’re working on that reassurance. Sandy has a very high prey drive - I was flying behind him when he saw a rabbit on one of our walks. This guy would be great at Fast Cat. He’s smart and learns very quickly.
Please contact Erica Cerny at 973-361-6790 or ecerny@optonline.net if you’d like to discuss if he’d fit into your environment or have any questions! He’s as near perfect as anyone can be and we’d keep him in a minute if we weren’t at our pet limit.
Northeast and Middle Atlantic only, he’s young so age appropriate, no pool unless separately fenced, adult only home, fenced yard plus leash walk, home owner, not good for city.
