Sampson "Sam"'s Story

Sampson — 2 years old, 56.8 lbs of black & tan fluffy perfection

Sampson is a 2-year-old Shepherd mix with the gentlest soul and the sweetest eyes. After spending three weeks in the shelter, he had one big “stir-crazy” moment (yes, he managed to bust out!), but even then he stayed close and waited like the good boy he is. Now he's safe at the farm and showing us every day what an easy, lovable companion he's meant to be.

This 56.8 lb black-and-tan fluff ball is medium energy, super laid back, and happiest just wandering the yard or quietly tagging along behind his people. He's the kind of dog who simply wants to be near you—part of the family, part of the routine, part of the love.

And for a little personality note —on a leash walk by the chicken coop we learned Sampson is VERY scared of chickens. He froze, wouldn't budge... and then dramatically hit the ground like, “Nope. Not today.”

Potty trained
Crate trained (clean and calm at night!)
Great with all dogs — big, small, puppies, and seniors
Loves kids
Up to date on vaccines + on prevention
Neutered

If you're looking for an easygoing, loyal, sweet-as-they-come best friend who will fit right into an active family life, Sampson is your guy. He's ready for his forever home—one where he can follow his people around, soak up the sunshine, and finally relax knowing he's home for good. Please fill out an adoption application. His $450 adoption fee covers all medical care to include vaccines, neuter, microchip, foster care and transportation from Louisiana to NY.
