Meet Sammy. Born in April 2020, he is our newest member of the DCAR family! <br/><br/>Sammy is a 16 pound poodle who is working on putting on some weight.<br/><br/>Sammy came to us from a breeding facility in Pennsylvania. <br/>He is still figuring out the dynamics living inside a home - but uses the pee pads religiously! <br/><br/>Sammy can become very anxious if he’s not with a companion. So a home with other dogs to play and learn from is a must!<br/><br/>He has also learned how to take toys out of the play bin! PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW AS IT WILL ANSWER MANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE!!!   Our dogs rescued from puppy mills require a secure fenced in yard and another small dog as a companion. We find that puppy mill rescues do best in homes that meet these requirements.   We are not a shelter and do not have a facility where you can come visit our available dogs. Our dogs are all in foster homes. If you see a specific dog you are interested in, please read the dog's profile. It will state where the dog is being fostered.   We currently adopt in the states of NY, NJ, Eastern PA, and DE. We can not accept applications from other states at this time. We do transport our rescues to the locations listed above.
