Sammy

Sammy is a small Maltese, about 8.5#. Retired breeder, nearly 4 years old. He is social and active, smart and gentle but with a mind of his own. Sammy loves to chase and fetch toys. Crate trained. He needs continued work on house training and walking on a leash. Sammy needs an energetic small canine friend to chase with and steal toys from (see video of him playing with housemate). A fenced yard or potty area is recommended. Though he is very gentle and NOT a biter, Sammy has become "barky" around our young grandchildren and retreats to his open crate. As a result, we would recommend a home without very young children. In addition, he doesn't love car rides, so if you're looking for a "road buddy," Sammy is likely not the right dog for you.
