Sammy's Story
Meet Sammy
4–5 years • Male • 35–40 lbs

Sammy is a sweet, gentle “potato boy” with the softest soul — and a story that’ll break your heart just a little. Originally being from the south, this brave guy was shot with a rifle awhile back, leaving a bullet permanently lodged in his hip. Vets believe removing it would cause him more pain than leaving it, but don’t worry — Sammy doesn’t let it dim his spirit. He still enjoys little romps in the yard and slow, happy strolls. He’s just not the zoomies type.

What he is, though, is a world-class cuddler. Sammy will quietly sit at your feet, melting into pets and soaking up affection. He walks beautifully on leash, gets along with other dogs, is kid-friendly in his foster home, and doesn’t seem to mind cats. He simply prefers to eat his meals alone, which is understandable given his past.

Sammy may move a bit slower, but his heart is bigger than ever. This boy has survived more than most dogs ever will — and he deserves to spend the holidays somewhere warm, safe, and loved.

If you’ve got room in your home (and heart), Sammy is waiting.

Adoption application:https://airtable.com/appfQ4VwNRgl8eJ7Q/shrAeGg1voRANylSz

PRAI
Kennel License #18024
P.O.
