At just 1 year old and 27 pounds, he's still filling out and needs to gain a few pounds to reach a healthy weight.<br/><br/>He is crate trained and mostly house trained, as long as he is on a schedule. Sammy loves playing with other dogs and has a great time during play sessions. When it comes to mealtime, however, he prefers his own space. He's an enthusiastic eater and does best with a slow feeder bowl, and treats should be given thoughtfully. With how skinny he was, we can't blame him. <br/><br/>Sammy enjoys toys and playtime and is always eager to explore. He can be a little nervous in new places but warms up with patience and reassurance.
