Sammy

SAMMY<br/><br/>Sammy is a very sweet natured 7 year old male Havanese/Maltese mix. He is new into rescue so we don't have a lot of info on him at this time. Information we do have: Sammy is crate trained and will go in on his own. He seems to be extremely smart, as it only took him one time coming in and out of the foster home door to know his way around. Second time out to potty, he went right out, did his business and went right back to the door wanting in. Sammy went for an indoctrination walk with his foster mentor, Alex and new foster dad, Jim, and he was great walking on a leash. He seemed very well trained, watching his foster dad and not leaving dad's side. He will come up to a chair you are sitting in, but will not jump up with you until invited. He is already rolling over to get belly rubs and is giving nose kisses. He seems very comfortable in his new surroundings. He is also very comfortable with the dog pack of four that he was introduced into today. <br/><br/>Sammy came into rescue due to nipping (left scratches) a four year old child when she had him cornered (as stated by the parents), so he will not go to a home with younger children. Sammy is neutered and microchipped. Vaccinations and heartworm test is being scheduled. <br/><br/>Sammy's bio will be updated as we get more information on him.
