Hello there, I'm Sammy -- a handsome black and tan Chow/Retriever mix, just about a year old and full of quiet charm. I even have adorable black spots on my tongue, which I hear make me quite the conversation starter. 😌🐾<br/><br/>I'm a very polite young gentleman who already knows how to sit, walk beautifully on a leash, and keep a tidy home -- I'm fully housebroken and crate trained. I'm gentle with older kids and the elderly, and I always try to make people feel comfortable around me.<br/><br/>When it comes to other dogs, I can be a bit selective. I have an alpha personality, so if there is another dog in the household, it would preferably be a submissive female. I was picked on before I arrived at the shelter, so I appreciate slow, proper introductions to make sure I feel safe. I haven't met any young children or cats yet, so that's still a mystery. 🐕‍🦺✨<br/><br/>One of my favorite things in the world is going for a car ride -- windows down, ears flapping, the whole experience.
