Meet Sammie
1 year 4 months
45 pounds
Pittie mix
Spayed
House-trained
Kennel-trained
Walks well on leash
NO dogs
NO cats
Sammie is the sweetest, snuggliest dog and she loves everyone she meets of all ages. Squeaky balls and belly rubs are her favorite. She knows all of her basics: sit, down, stay, leave it, shake, off, out, wait, and kennel. Last summer we took her kayaking and she did really well, so could probably be reintroduced to lake life.
Things she still needs help with: counter-surfing and learning to sit and wait for pets when people come in the house - she gets excited and wants to jump, but is learning.
While she enjoys playing with other dogs, she has guarding issues and becomes possessive. She also can’t live with cats unsupervised So a non-negotiable in rehoming her is that she will be the only pet in the household. This is what we know will give Sammie her best life possible. On her own, Sammie would be a dream dog. Loyal and protective yet sweet as can be. Young and fun but not puppy-crazy. Perfectly healthy and eager to steal hearts.
