Sammi's Story

Sammi is a happy, smiley girl who brings joy everywhere she goes. She loves long walks, yard time, and any game involving tug or toys. She has excellent house manners, appears house-trained while in foster care, and sleeps comfortably in her crate through the night and during the workday with no issues. She listens well, learns quickly, and thrives with people who enjoy an active, playful companion.

She enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a playful canine friend, though her current foster’s senior pups can’t keep up with her energetic style, but they still let her stick around! Sammi has also done well with visiting children and dogs in social settings. She can be protective of her home and yard, so adopters should be attentive on walks and comfortable guiding a strong, spirited dog. She pulls a bit on leash but is improving with practice and consistency.

Sammi is a smart, loving, resilient dog who adores her people and wants nothing more than a life filled with activity, structure, and companionship. If you're looking for a playful running buddy, a loyal best friend, and a dog who listens and loves deeply, Sammi may be your perfect match!

This animal would do best in an adult-only (18+) home without children or frequent child visitors, though families may be considered on a case-by-case basis if it’s the right fit.

All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!

To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email foster@cincycare.org to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it’s a perfect match.

About Us: Cincinnati Animal CARE proudly serves Hamilton County’s humane society needs, dog warden, and animal control services.
