Sam/Oreo's Story

Sam, also known as Oreo, is a 1-year-old Border Collie mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This handsome boy came to us as an owner release and is now looking for a patient, understanding family to give him the loving home he deserves.
Sam/Oreo is a very sweet and affectionate dog who does well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion. He is both house trained and crate trained, and he already knows the commands "sit" and "kennel." One thing you'll notice quickly about him is that he's a very slobbery boy--so be prepared for lots of drooly kisses!
While Sam has many wonderful qualities, he does have a few things his future family should be aware of. He does not do well with cats, and because he does not like being picked up or hugged, a home with kids 12 and up would be the best fit for him. He can be a sensitive boy and does experience separation anxiety, so he would do best with a family that can help him build confidence and provide reassurance. When he becomes scared or stressed, he may have an accident in the home, so patience and a calm environment will help him succeed.
Sam/Oreo is fully vetted and ready for his new beginning. He is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies, neutered, and microchipped. He weighs about 39 pounds, making him a great medium-sized companion.
With the right family--one that understands his sensitive side and gives him the time and love he needs--Sam/Oreo will make a loyal, goofy, and loving companion who will happily share his slobbery kisses and sweet personality every day. 🐾💙

Sam's Adoption Fee is $35 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted.
