He’s affectionate, goofy in the best way, and deeply bonded to his people. He’s housebroken, well-mannered, knows sit and shake, loves car rides, enjoys running free, and absolutely thrives on a good, predictable routine.<br/>Sam does best with smaller dogs, is good with some cats, and prefers a calm, consistent home where the furniture doesn’t move too often (If you rearrange the living room, he’ll take a minute... maybe two... then decide it’s safe.<br/>He’s a big guy — around 80–90 lbs — and very much a pancake dog. If Sam decides he’s done walking... He’s DONE. And honestly, it’s kind of adorable.<br/>Sam has experienced more change than any dog should, all through no fault of his own. But what stands out most about him is his resilience and his heart. When he recently returned to us, we placed him straight into foster care — and when he saw his former foster mom, he recognized her instantly. Full-body wiggles. Zero hesitation.
