Salt's Story
Only applications for adoption in Durham Region will be considered. Any out of area applications will be disregarded. Please see our website for information on our adoption process. Please note that all questions on the application must be answered fully in order to be considered.

Meet Salt

Salt is a four-month-old Shepherd/Husky mix who is already 35 pounds and expected to grow into a large breed. He’s confident, playful, and full of personality, with the kind of goofy energy that keeps you smiling all day. He loves to run, play, and show off his zoomies, but what he really wants most is to be close to his people.

Salt is incredibly social and does well with dogs, cats, and kids. He enjoys his walks and is learning his leash manners, sometimes trying to take the lead but staying manageable. He’s crate trained at night, loves car rides, and will happily entertain himself with a squeaky toy when he’s not following you around.

Like many puppies, Salt is still learning independence and can struggle a bit with being left alone, but he settles when he knows you’re nearby. With some consistency and structure, he’s going to grow into an amazing companion.

Salt is adventurous, affectionate, and full of life, with those striking ears that make him impossible to miss. He’s looking for a home ready for puppy energy, continued training, and a dog who wants to be part of everything you do.

If you’re looking for a fun, loyal, and outgoing companion, Salt might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.

All TAGS adoptions include nine weeks of Behaviour Training Classes to help set both puppy and family up for long-term success.

Salt will do best in a patient, loving home ready to guide him through puppyhood with structure, encouragement, and plenty of cuddles.

If interested, please complete our application form found at https://animalguardian.org/how-to-help/adopting-a-rescue/adoption-applications/. Applications other than the TAGS form will not be considered.
