Salt's Story

Salt was found in Hoopa, following a larger dog into a yard. He was found with another puppy we assume might be a sibling from another litter. DNA test is pending-post will be updated when results come back.

At first this shy guy did not like people and now he loves them! He is trained to kennel at night and during feeding time. We are working on potty training and there are still some accidents in the kennel at night but he tries hard! Sometimes he still nervous piddles, so will need someone caring and understanding about this puppy who came from the ruff side of town.

Salt loves to play with toys, throwing them for himself or playing his version of tag, mainly running away and tagging you. He loves to eat and knows what treats are. His "Sit" skill is phenomenal! He does not however prefer the company of cats and will bark at them from a distance but seems to lose the tough guy bravado when they are near him-all bark!

Overall, he is a happy little puppy who would do great in a house that will pay him lots of attention and give him room to grow. He would do good with another dog who needs a little sibling or by himself as a 1 dog household.
