Sally Hansen's Story
Sweet Sally – A Country-Lovin' Girl with a Heart of Gold

Sally is a beautiful 3yr old, floppy-eared hound who came to Wisconsin in November 2024 after struggling in a high-energy shelter environment. That fast-paced setting really took a toll on her, but with time, patience, and a loving foster home, Sally has made incredible progress—and she's blossoming into the good girl we always knew she could be!

She recently completed a 3 week board and train program at Tanks Top K9s to really enhance her obedience skills and leash manners.

Sally dreams of a home in the country with space to sniff, roam, and explore. A quiet fenced-in yard in the suburbs would also work well—she's not a fan of the hustle and bustle, and has a loud bark/bay so apartments aren't the right fit for her. She lives for being outdoors, watching birds, treeing squirrels, and chasing rabbits—classic hound things! Because of her strong prey drive, a home without cats is highly recommended.

She is:
Potty trained
Kennel trained
Learning basic obedience
Walking well on leash in her peaceful foster neighborhood

Sally thrives on consistency, outdoor time, and a balanced routine of mental and physical stimulation. She is a high energy working breed and will need an active home. She currently takes daily anxiety medication that has helped tremendously with her transition. It may not be forever, but it's part of what's working well for her right now. She is also on a medication for a hormonal imbalance.

Sally would love a home where her people are around often in addition to a dog sibling or two to play with. She really craves companionship with other dogs.

Sally is fully vetted and microchipped.
Her adoption fee is just $150, thanks to a $200 discount, plus she comes with a $50 training or doggie daycare credit!

Ready to help Sally continue her journey and give her the peaceful forever home she deserves?

**Dog breeds listed are best guesses from veterinary professionals, they are never a guarantee. www.brownpawsrescue.com.
