Sally's Story
Hi!

I'm new to this group, still settling in, getting through medical checks and taking in the new world!

I'll be attending shows any time now, if you want to meet me please fill out an application located below or reach out to us at Hello@laststoprescue.org.

A note about me specifically: My siblings and I came from the streets of Texas. We don't know either parent, we're about seven months old and are nervous/fearful. We're learning our potty skills, routines, basic manners, and get the last of our medical worked out.

I'm one of the ring leaders but also suspicious of new things approaching.

Training and post adoption support is a given with us!

-------------------- About our process and fees---------------------

Our application: https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/

If you're interested in donating, sponsoring or volunteering please visit us at www.LastStopRescue.com or follow us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Laststoprescue.il!

We treat these dogs as individuals with needs and to that end all of our dogs will have been in fosters no less than two weeks, they will have at least started training if not attend weekly classes and get daily training at home with the fosters!

Which means our longest residents will be the best trained, as long as they're with us we're going to keep socializing and working through any issues they may have.

When you adopt from us you will have a very clear picture of the dog you're meeting and on going support!

Our Fees are as follows:
Senior dogs over 7 are $450
Adult dogs are $650
Puppies under 1 year are $800
Specific breeds are $900

With each adoption you will be...
1. Given up to four hours of free training (from the foster and coordinator),
a. Some dogs require additional free training hours before they can go home.
2. Full medical report of all findings,
3. All of the supplies needed for a new dog as we attain these for the care of each dog,
4. A full run down on their behavioral status, where they started, where they are and how far is left to go. This will be detailed in a training plan from us about what they can or cannot handle well and it will be discussed as much as needed!
5. On going support post adoption as long as needed!
We fully vet all of our dogs which is reflected in our adoption fee. On average we will pay about 600 dollars in medical per dog. Every dog gets a full blood panel, fecal/urine check, heartworm & tick panel and treatment if required, spayed/neutered, all shots and boosters, along with anything specific to their needs.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED!
If you are interested in FOSTERING instead, please complete an application online at https://laststoprescue.com/volunteer/. Fostering means you will temporarily house this dog while we wait for their forever family to come along. Fostering is free as we provide all the basic supplies and support you need. Fosters are asking to transport the dog to vet appointments, adoption shows, or any additional events if your schedule allows. Fosters must be located in Illinois.
