Sallys story is one we really wish had a different ending.

Sally was abandoned at the outlet mall in Darien in early fall of 2025. She was never reclaimed, so she came to MCAS and eventually found what we thought would be her forever home. Sally was adopted in November 2025.

Sadly, in June 2026, Sally was returned to us — through absolutely no fault of her own. Her owners circumstances changed, and they had nothing but wonderful things to say about this sweet girl.

Heres what her former owner told us:

Sally is a great dog
She LOVES going to the dog park and plays well with other dogs
She is high energy and may be too much for older or low-energy dogs
She would do best with older children, 12+
She is housebroken AND crate trained
She loves sleeping in the bed
She will need an owner who is willing to provide boundaries and structure to help her remain a happy, balanced dog
NO CATS — Sally does not lik
