SALEM

Salem is a handsome, affectionate boy (5 years/70 lbs) who came to Lab Rescue from a local shelter. He absolutely adores people and is happiest when he is close to his foster mom—he’s the kind of dog who loves being part of everything you do. Salem thrives on attention and enjoys all the pets and affection he can get.<br/>Before coming into rescue, Salem had very few boundaries, so he spent several weeks working with a trainer. He has made great progress and will benefit from an experienced adopter who is committed to continuing his training and providing consistent structure.<br/>Salem loads easily and rides well in the car. He is house trained and crate trained. His leash skills are still a work in progress, but with continued training and regular exercise, he will continue to improve. Salem does well with other dogs that are not aggressive. He has not yet been tested with cats or children.<br/>Salem would flourish in an active home with people who enjoy walking, running, or hiking and can give him both physical exercise and mental stimulation.
