Salem is a 6 year old great dane who finds herself in need of a new home. She spent 6 years in a home and was then posted for free on Craigslist...that's where her rescue story started! This girl is a sweet and affectionate gentle giant who loves being close to her people. She’s friendly with dogs and cats and would be happiest as the only dog or with a submissive dog friend. She’s not aggressive—she just needs help learning personal space with other dogs because she loves to be involved.<br/><br/>Salem enjoys running and playing outside, has great recall, and is fully potty trained. She’s cat-safe and won’t chase them. When her humans are away, she does not like a crate, but she can be left loose in the house and is not destructive.<br/><br/>In the evenings, Salem is a total cuddle bug who loves to curl up on the couch near you. She has a funny side too—at mealtime she’ll grumble and bark until her food is served.
