She wasn’t quite sure what to think of him, but she was interested, and for Sahara, that’s progress worth celebrating!<br/><br/>And we’ve discovered the secret to this girl’s heart... TREATS! Yep, a little patience, a gentle hand, and some yummy treats go a LONG way with Miss Sahara!<br/><br/>Sahara isn’t the kind of girl who’s going to run up and throw herself into your arms on day one. She’s the kind of girl who needs you to earn her trust, respect her space, and meet her where she is. But oh, when those walls start coming down, it’s something pretty special. <br/><br/> And here’s something important about Sahara... she NEEDS another dog in her home! Having a canine companion helps her feel more comfortable and confident. Another dog can help show her the ropes, reassure her that the world isn’t so scary, and help her continue to blossom. She quietly accepted vaccines, medications, and handling with grace, even though everything around her was unfamiliar and overwhelming.<br/><br/>The world is still a little scary for Sahara.<br/>Every single day, another piece of her sweet personality shines through.<br/><br/>She absolutely loves other dogs. In playgroups, she relaxes, plays, and lets her happy side come alive. Watching her with canine friends is watching a completely different dog.<br/><br/>Then came the moment no one will forget.<br/><br/>Instead of waiting for someone to approach her, Sahara quietly walked over to a staff member and gently asked for a few head scratches.<br/><br/>To most people, thats a simple moment.<br/>For Sahara, it was monumental.<br/>It was her way of saying...<br/>Maybe...
