Meet Sage! Sage is a beautiful 6-month-old Retriever–Hound mix with a striking dark brindle coat and a sweet, loving disposition. She currently weighs about 26 lbs and is expected to be around 40–50 lbs once fully grown. Sage adores people and enjoys being around other animals. She can be a little cautious when she first meets new dogs, but once she warms up, her playful side shines—especially with her foster buddy, River. One of her cutest quirks is hiding under a chair and popping out to playfully pounce when she’s in a silly mood. She’s super smart, curious, and eager to learn. Sage is crate trained and house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and isn’t a big barker. Like any young puppy, she’s working through normal teething and learning to take breaks when she’s tired from playing. She has done well with children ages 5–10 and would fit beautifully with families who will continue guiding her into a well-mannered adult dog.<br/>Sage enjoys treats, being petted, going for walks, and spending time with her foster dog friend. Loud noises can startle her, but overall she’s an easygoing, adaptable pup. She would do well in a home with or without another friendly dog, and she’s suitable for both new and experienced pet owners. A secure, enclosed yard is recommended to keep her safe as she explores.<br/>Sage is current on her vaccines, and her adoption fee includes her future spay and microchip.
