Sage<br/>Sage is a beautiful white Shepherd, with sparkling white teeth to match. She is 11 months old and approximately 60lbs-- she is petite in stature. She prefers the company of female humans, but will warm up to men in time as well. She can be skittish and will require a home that is willing to work with her on confidence building, and that'll understand her needs. She would do best in a GSD-savvy home, preferably those that have owned white shepherds (as many have a different more skittish personality than GSDs of other colouration.) Due to her skittishness, no young kids for Sage- teens+ only. A home that will provide training to work with her and give her time to trust is imperative. Although she does well in doggy daycare and on dog playdates, she prefers to live as a solo dog within the home..so please no other dog siblings for her! No cat exposure. Note: the cost of gas has affected everyone's lives including the rescue dogs.<br/><br/>The age requirement for adoption is 25 to 70 years old; If you are outside of this age range, please email us first.<br/><br/>We require all adopters attend professional training with their adopted dog. Exceptions are made for adopters who are K-9 professionals or for senior dogs being adopted.<br/><br/>We are an all volunteer organization and every effort is made to proceed as efficiently as possible with an application. As with all rescues, we do require veterinary references if you have a pet, personal reference, a phone interview and home visit. This process has been created to ensure that we match each applicant with the best possible dog.
