Sage's Story
We’re urgently seeking a foster or foster-to-adopt home - someone who believes every good dog deserves a better chapter!

Meet Sage, a 5-year-old Blue Heeler who’s had a few bumps along the road but still believes the best is yet to come. She is a petite girl, under 40 pounds, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped.

Rescued from a California shelter where time was running out, Sage is incredibly friendly with people and always ready to share her loyal heart. In foster care she did make friends with a male red Heeler, however, Sage is also a typical Heeler when it comes to other dogs — she can be selective and sometimes reactive, so she’ll do best in a home where she’s the star of the show - or with a calm, steady dog and an experienced human that understands her heart and her breed.
Sage isn’t a high-energy dog; she’s happiest with moderate activity and meaningful engagement. She just needs a home that has the time and experience to nurture her mind and spirit, not a high-octane lifestyle.

Her first foster had too many dogs for Sage's comfort level. Her current foster says she is super sweet, but their lifestyle is a bit too quiet for Sage, not quite enough adventure. Sage has been patiently waiting for her just-right home - the "Goldilocks" home — that just- right - fit, one that offers engagement, patience, and love in equal measure — could that be with you?

We’re urgently seeking a foster or foster-to-adopt home.
Sage is currently in foster in Duncan, but needs to find a new spot!

PLEASE SHARE AND HELP SAGE FIND HER PEOPLE AND HELP US GIVE HER THE STABILITY SHE NEEDS!

Apply to adopt today at www.nadrs.org/adopt

Apply to foster today at www.nadrs.org/volunteer
