Sage's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sage’s story started last Christmas when she and her sister were found running scared in the street. Their finders brought them to animal control, and while her sister was quickly adopted, the loud shelter environment was overwhelming for sweet Sage. She became very anxious and unsure of the world around her. Thankfully, her finders came back for her and brought her home to decompress in a quieter space. With patience and love, she quickly returned to her happy, excited self and has been blossoming ever since.

Sage is an estimated 3-year-old pit mix girl who bonds deeply with her people. She is an incredibly loyal girl. When she first gets excited, her bark can sound a little intimidating, but once she warms up, there is nothing she loves more than cuddling under blankets and giving endless kisses. She truly lives to be close to her humans.

She is fully potty trained and crate trained, happily eating her meals in her crate and relaxing there with blankets and toys. Sage is extremely food motivated, which makes her a great candidate for continued training and enrichment. She loves interactive toys, puzzles, snuffle mats, and chews like BarkBox and Bullymake favorites. She enjoys car rides, has high energy when it’s time to play, and then happily settles in for snuggles. She loves enrichment and would likely thrive in something like scent work.

Sage would do best in a home without cats. She can be particular with other pets and would either do well as the only spoiled princess or with a very tolerant dog while she continues learning appropriate play. She loves kids but can sometimes play a little rough due to her enthusiasm.

Sage has already overcome so much and just needs a home that understands her sensitive start and appreciates her loyal, loving heart. Her foster family says she is truly the best girl, and they are hoping to find her a forever home that will cherish her!

Please note: Sage is not currently in rescue. We are courtesy posting for her Foster to help her find the perfect home. If you are interested in learning more about Sage or meeting her, please fill out this application and we will work with her Foster to get you contacted! https://bit.ly/3GDeyyo
