Meet Sadie Girl

Meet Sadie a 1-1/2 year old chocolate female Labrador who weighs in at approximately 55 lbs.

Her foster mom says it all. "Sadie has come a long way from the frighten pooch we took in as a foster. She is housebroken, loves to ride in the car, (especially to Dunkin Donuts or to the park!) and gets along great with her foster canine siblings as well as with other dogs. She has not been crated as she settles down nicely at night, and not a peep from her until the morning. She sleeps all night in her bed and is trusted to be left free in the house when her foster mom is out. Sadie walks great on a leash and knows basic commands. She has not been feline tested nor exposed to young children. She is an affectionate dog once you’ve earned her trust. She will nuzzle your hand for attention and gives great eye contact to check in with you. Sadie has also discovered the joy of squeeky toys and will run through the yard throwing the ball in the air and will play all by herself. Sadie runs like the wind and is a true athlete. Sadie settles down nicely after she has had her daily walk. With her strong food drive and toy motivation she is be easy to train. She could excel at agility or be a dock diving dog with the right training. Sadie is shy at first when meeting new people but warm up quickly. Sadie is skittish at first with new people and noises as a result we are requiring a fully fenced in yard not only so she can run free but also to keep her safe. Patience and love are the key to earning that trust and bringing out the very best of the dog Sadie can become. We foster parents at Labs4rescue have a saying that we “polish the diamond”. We help the rescue dogs become the best that they can be. So make Sadie part of your family and with time, patience and love watch Sadie sparkle as I have seen her shine!"
