Sadie's Story

Meet Sadie — the sweetest little road warrior turned lovebug!

Sadie’s story started in a rough place. She was found standing alone in the middle of the road, covered in sores, fleas, and ticks. The moment she was rescued, she knew she was safe and has been soaking up love ever since.

Now that she’s healing and feeling safe, Sadie has truly come out of her shell. She’s playful, funny, and endlessly affectionate. She loves chasing bugs in the yard, going for walks, and being the center of attention. She’s crate-trained and making steady progress with her separation anxiety — each day she grows more confident knowing she’s home and cared for.

Sadie does well with other dogs when given slow introductions. She’s still figuring out how to play and sometimes forgets her manners in her excitement, so a bit of guidance goes a long way.

Her perfect match will be someone patient and kind who can offer her structure, exercise, and lots of affection. She’ll do best in a home where her people are around most of the time — perhaps someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule.

In return, Sadie will fill your days with laughter, devotion, and that unmistakable gratitude only a rescue dog can show.

Sadie is approximately 2 years old. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Sadie weighs 40 lbs and has a long tail. She is taking heartworm and flea preventative.

Thanks for considering a dog from Texas Cattle Dog Rescue!
