Sadie's Story
Meet Sadie!

She can be a bit timid with new people but turns into a big teddy bear once she's settled in. She loves to follow her people, chase balls, chew on squeaky toys and play tug!

Sadie has lived with children older than 3 years old and can be timid at first but warms up quickly with positive reinforcement. She has lived with cats and is generally friendly and playful but will chase and stand her ground if the cat instigates something. Sadie has lived with small and large breed dogs and tends to be selective with who she wants to befriend. We would recommend a dog on dog meet and greet for potential adopters with residents dogs at home. All introductions should be slow and proper when bringing home new animals. Ask staff for tips!

Sadie is kennel trained and does well. She is still perfecting her housetraining and will sometimes have accidents. Keeping her on a consistent schedule will help her reach success! Sadie has a history of resource guarding high value treats or toys around other dogs and should be supervised separately during treat/play time.

She is a special gal who will need an experienced dog owner who understands canine behaviors and can help her work on her manners. Sadie would benefit from basic obedience classes to help her grow up to be the best pup! Does she sound like a good fit for your family?

Sadie would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep her entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe.

Come meet Sadie today!

*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.

**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
