Sabrina's Story

Sabrina is a 11-month-old Collie/Lab mix with the sweetest heart. She and her black Lab brother, Obi, were owner surrendered to the county shelter after their family had a baby and felt they could no longer care for them.

Due to severe overcrowding, both Sabrina and Obi were placed on the euthanasia list, as owner surrenders are often the first to be scheduled when shelters need space. We were able to pull them just in time.

After leaving the shelter, Sabrina was diagnosed with parvo. She had never been vaccinated by her previous family, and being in the shelter exposed her to the disease. She fought for many long days and she survived. Sabrina is truly our little survivor.

Through everything, she has remained incredibly loving. She adores people, gives the best kisses, and is a total goofball who keeps us laughing. She’s smart, eager to please, and genuinely wants to make her people happy.

Sabrina has been around young children and has always done great with them. We even brought her to the dog park where some kids were playing, and she absolutely adored them. She happily went up to them for pets and gave the sweetest gentle hugs. She truly lights up around children.

She’s also best friends with our 10-week-old kitten, whom she plays with gently and respectfully. She walks well on leash, does well off leash with supervision, and enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing.

She is still a puppy, so a watchful eye is important, she can be a little mischievous at times. Her latest adventure was jumping onto a windowsill and sitting there like a cat, quietly watching the world outside.

Location: Tyler, Texas

Adoption Fee: $350
Includes DAPP (with booster), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, a negative heartworm test and ongoing prevention, a negative fecal test, spay/neuter, a microchip with free lifetime registration

Transport: $300
Includes a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel and the cost of transport.

Our adoption application: https://www.unleashthepaws.com/adoption-application
