Meet Sabrina!<br/><br/>Sabrina is a 5 to 6 year-old Lab/Pitbull mix with a heart as big as her beautiful smile. This sweet girl came to Dogworks Ohio after her previous owner could no longer afford to treat what they believed were severe allergies and was considering euthanasia. Once Sabrina arrived in rescue, it was discovered that her skin and coat issues were likely related to hypothyroidism rather than allergies. Since starting thyroid medication, her hair has begun growing back, and shes feeling better every day. Sabrinas journey is a wonderful reminder of how life-changing a second chance can be.<br/><br/>At around 108 pounds, Sabrina is a gentle giant who fully embraces the couch potato lifestyle. Her favorite activities include snoozing, following her people around the house, and spending time with her dog friends. While she enjoys a good play session, shes happiest simply being near her humans.<br/><br/>Sabrina can be a little shy when meeting new people and may growl or hide when shes feeling unsure. However, once she realizes shes safe, her affectionate personality shines through. She loves giving kisses and has never caused any trouble in her foster home. She seems to have a special soft spot for women but warms up to men with a little patience and time.<br/><br/>One of Sabrinas quirks is her dramatic approach to getting on furniture. Rather than simply hopping up, she backs up, gets a running start, and launches herself onto the couch or bed. She also loves when her foster dad plays with her and gets her toes, which always earns an adorable play bow and a wagging tail.<br/><br/>Sabrina gets along wonderfully with other dogs and especially loves little dogs. She would likely enjoy having a canine companion in her forever home, though she would also be happy as the center of attention.
