Sabia's Story

Meet Sabia — The Little Light Who Beat the Odds

Sabia’s story begins with courage — not just hers, but her mom’s. For nearly three long years, her mother survived alone on the reservation, dodging danger and doing her best to stay alive. When rescue finally arrived, she was already in labor and gave birth while waiting for transport to safety. Twelve tiny puppies entered the world that day, and for the first time, their mama didn’t have to face it alone. She’s now safe, spayed, and resting easy knowing her babies — including sweet Sabia — will never repeat that cycle.

Sabia is a young female, 5 months, with a short black coat that gleams in the sun and a personality that shines even brighter. She’s a beautiful blend of all the best traits from her mix — Husky, Shepherd, Lab, Cattle Dog, Boxer, and more. A true reservation special, she’s equal parts spirited, loyal, and full of heart.

When grown, Sabia will likely weigh around 50–60 pounds — the perfect size for hiking, playing, and curling up beside you after a long day. She’s wonderful with kids and other dogs, playful but gentle, curious but sweetly cautious, and she absolutely thrives on human connection. Her vaccinations are up-to-date, and she’s ready for her forever home.

Sabia is hoping for a family that can offer her what every dog deserves:
• A secure six-foot fenced yard where she can explore safely and stretch her legs preferred. Active apt people fine too.
• Someone home often to help with potty training, consistency, and love.
• A home that’s stable, patient, and forever — she’s a lifetime commitment, not a temporary guest.
• The financial and emotional readiness to care for her through all of life’s stages.

Sabia’s name means “wise,” and it fits her perfectly — she seems to understand that she was saved, and she carries that quiet gratitude in every wag and cuddle.

Sabia’s past began with survival, but her future is pure hope. She’s not just looking for a home — she’s waiting for her person, the one who will show her what forever really feels like.

Adoption donation is $375
Includes shots to date, microchip and spay or neuter at our partnered vets.

Applications can be found at caringhearts4paws.org

Dont forget to send required documentation
