RUTHIE's Story
GORGEOUS, SMART, YOUNG, PERFECT

That's our Ruthie.

Ruthie was dumped in a rural area and picked up by one of our volunteers. Initially Ruthie was a wild child, typical of puppies her age that had not been worked with. It seemed pretty clear, she had been given up on and taken on that dreaded, one way trip to the country, by her former owners who had no idea, they had given up on a gem.

Our volunteer is no slouch when it comes to instilling manners and obedience into dogs who have not been given much direction or encouragement. Ruthie was a front row seat student and almost over night, in her desire to please and be a "good girl" overcame many of her puppy undesirables and proved she had what it takes to be a valued member of a family.

Sadly, our volunteer lost her life in a tragic accident and Ruthie had to go into a different foster home where we were initially a bit skeptical about just how much she had retained from her lessons.

Ruthie was simply amazing. She proudly and effortlessly remembered and displayed it all.

We readily admit, we have NO clue, whether or not Ruthie carries a speck of Labrador or Blue Lacey genetics, but what we do know is that she is kind, happy, smart, thirsty to learn, easy to have around and ready to be part of a home or family that will keep her moving forward and utilizing her keen mind and eager heart.

Ruthie is crate trained, leash trained, travels well (though still working on the whole getting in thing) is housebroken, great with other dogs, cats, kids, pigs, horses and probably whatever else you might have on the feed bill. She is a great size but still growing. She should mature to around 55lbs and has an easy care coat. She loves meal and treat and toy time, equally and would make an awesome addition to just about any type of lifestyle. If the day calls for adventure, she will be ready. If it calls for a good book and a long couch snuggle, she will be happy about that too.

If you would like to give this gorgeous girl your heart, please go to our website at www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org/adoption and fill out the online application. We would love to hear from you and set up a meet and greet. Ruthie is ready to bring her beauty, charm, fun, cleverness and heart to you, and never let you down.

She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on five way and rabies vaccines, fecal tested and treated for intestinal parasites, flea/tick free and ready to rock your world.

Adoption fee is $350 and she is worth every last penny.
