Rusty's Story

Rusty – 11 Years Old • 42 lbs • Beagle/Hound Mix

Rusty spent his days as a stray—alone, forgotten, and just trying to survive. He eventually ended up in a shelter, but even there, no one came for him.

By the time he got to us, his teeth were in such terrible condition that he could barely eat. He was in pain and desperately needed help. Rusty had 11 teeth removed, finally giving this sweet senior the relief he deserved.

Despite everything he’s been through, Rusty is the sweetest, most gentle guy. He’s laid-back, dog friendly, fully vaccinated, house trained, and kennel-free—no crate needed for this good boy. He’s happiest just being near his people and soaking up the love.

Rusty didn’t give up, and we didn’t give up on him.

Now he just needs one more thing: a forever home where he can spend his golden years safe, comfortable, and completely loved.

***If you'd like to learn more about Rusty or think he could be the perfect addition to your family, please email nikki@pawsnpray.com to inquire or apply to adopt him**
