Rusty's Story

Meet RUSTY - the pocket-sized prince of snuggles!

At 10-years-old, this Pomeranian/long-haired Chihuahua mix is leaning fully into his geriatric icon era... and honestly? He rocks it. Rusty is the kind of dog who melts into your arms, sighs dramatically when he gets comfy, and looks at you like you hung the moon! If you're craving a loyal little shadow, he's already packing his bags.

Rusty is cuddly to his core! His favorite place is tucked right against his human - preferably under a blanket, preferably on a soft couch, and preferably while soaking up all the attention. This tiny fluff is convinced the world revolves around him... and frankly, one look at his unbelievably cute little face, and you'll agree.

Despite his age, Rusty still has plenty of pep in his step, but he's all about the simple joys: warm laps, gentle strolls, quiet evenings, and being doted on as the main character he truly is. He listens well, loves deeply, and exudes that special senior dog magic that only comes from years of perfecting the art of companionship.

Rusty may do well in a home with other animals as long as proper, slow introductions are performed!

Rusty is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and given a flea and tick preventative as well as a heartworm preventive.

If you're dreaming of a sweet, snuggly, slightly dramatic little gentleman who just wants a human to adore... Rusty is waiting. For any additional information or questions, please contact the shelter at wausharacoanimalshelter@gmail.com or (920) 279-9795.
