Rusty's Story
Rusty’s foster has sadly gone back into the hospital and is mentally unable to care for him at this time. We are in desperate need of a new foster — ideally a home with no other dogs and a secure backyard, so he doesn’t have to pass other dogs on walks.

We do not know how Rusty is with cats, as he has never been tested.

We pulled Rusty from Bartow on 9/26/2025 to save him from euthanasia. He just finished his heartworm treatment.

🐾 4–5 years old
🐾 88 pounds
🐾 Chill personality

Rusty is a little clingy — he bonds closely with his person. He does well in his crate when needed, but he also free roams beautifully and is excellent when left alone in the house.

He can still get overexcited when passing other dogs, so we are taking dog interactions slow. For now, he needs to be the ONLY dog in the home, although he has been doing well with a female. We simply have not fully tested him with other dogs yet.

Let’s not let this sweet boy down. 🐾❤️

📩 Message us to inquire or if you’re interested in adopting or fostering!

Located in Atlanta Ga
Fill out a application on our website:
OnePawAtATimeGaRescue.com

Lisa@OnePawAtATimeGaRescue.com
