Rusty's Story

Rusty is so cute! We call him Pirate now because he has one eye! He was abandoned by people who were supposed to love him, found himself on the streets of LA only to succumb vicious attacks by other dogs, then found himself at a high kill shelter in San Bernardino. We pulled him to safety and had all his wounds treated including having to remove the eye..he is spunky and loving dog still amazingly. He is cautious with other dogs now and will need time to trust other dogs..a home with no other dogs will be best, and slow introduction to other dogs is recommended. He is super friendly with people. We are open to a foster or adoption. Neutering will be covered by the rescue.

A Dog Named Black Jack Animal Rescue Recovery, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Our typical adoption process requires potential adopters to first fill out an adoption application. This does not guarantee adoption but rather serves as a tool for us to revise the adopter's information and qualifications to adopt. After being revised, we will conduct a phone call interview with the potential adopter to learn more. If they are approved after these two procedures, we will require them to sign an adoption agreement and pay an adoption fee before they receive their new pet.
