Outta the Cage—a non-profit specializing in saving urgent shelter dogs—rescued 2-year-old Russell on December 14 from crowded West LA shelter. We’d spent time with him in the shelter’s play yard and knew we had to save him. We sent him to training—one trainer said, “If I didn’t already have seven dogs, I’d KEEP him!”—and he’s now ready for a home.<br/><br/>Russell loves people and loves to play all day! He is goofy and funny and loves other dogs of all sizes. A doggie playmate might be just the ticket. Russell is a purebred American Bulldog, so an adopter who understands bulldog stubbornness would be ideal but not required.<br/><br/>Russell really wants someone who will appreciate his hijinx and give him plenty of play time. His favorite thing to do is running alongside you on your bike, but he’d also be cool with one or two neighborhood walks and some backyard time. <br/><br/>If you live in southern California, bring your family and come meet him!
