Russ's Story

Russ is a beautiful, happy, playful, intelligent, active young Dalmatian. He was found as a stray in a small rural, LA community + placed in the shelter. There was no foot traffic or visitors so no one saw him. They were about to kill him when he was located by a rescuer nearby. Terrie placed him with a loving local family who set out to help him. It was discovered that he was very low HW positive. Treatment was begun immediately using 400 mg of Doxycyline daily and a ProHeart shot. This is standard protocol for slow kill for such low infestation.

For more information, contact Jeannine at jeannine@dalmatianrescueco.org. Adoption $250. If interested in this dog, please go to www.dalmatianrescueco.org and submit an application for adoption. Under Adoptions, please read our adoption policy. We must have an application before we can begin the adoption process and each dog does have foster contact listed.

Our Mission
DRC, a designated 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization, is not a shelter. We are a group of volunteers who work with rescued dogs by fostering them in our own homes whenever possible; hence treating them the same as one of our own. We will use a kennel or day care if necessary to save a dog, but that dog will move to a foster ho...
