Rupert's Story

Rupert was found in a northern community with a broken leg for an unknown amount of time. He was flown in to us and taken to the vet, where unfortunately his leg was found to be in such bad shape that it had to be amputated.
That doesn't bothe Rupert at all though!!! He is a happy young dog who loves to play with other dogs. He will try to teach smaller dogs or puppies boundaries but is otherwise very submissive.
He is also completely housetrained!
As much as Rupert loves other dogs, he loves people even more. He has zero fear of people and no issues of resource or food guarding.
Rupert has not been around children but his foster says he is very tolerant of being touched and handled and for those reasons, feel Rupert will be fine with kids.
Ruperts foster has this to say about him:
Rupert is a loveable, easy going dog. He LOVES people, the more and the louder a home the better and strangers? No problem. He enjoys walks and does great on leash. But most of the time he likes to nap and play with toys. He is not a flight risk at all, he wants to be where his people are. He knows how to “sit”, “stay”, and most of the time “come”. He sleeps loose in the house on his dog bed.
