Rune's Story

Meet Rune — a free spirit just beginning to bloom

For two long years, Rune’s world was no bigger than the walls of a pen. No soft bed. No gentle hands. No freedom. She came from a hoarding situation where love was absent and survival was all she knew.

When Rune entered rescue, her little body told a heartbreaking story. Her swollen belly made us hope for puppies—but instead revealed parasites and infection. No new life… just a life that had never truly begun. With veterinary care, patience, and compassion, Rune healed. Today, she is healthy, spayed, and finally discovering what it means to live.

Rune is a husky mix with a quiet, beautiful soul. She loves fresh air and open space, and a fenced yard would be her happy place. She isn’t a flight risk, but when she feels playful, she may invite you to an adorable game of tag—staying close by, just out of reach, still learning that humans can be trusted. She has shown zero aggression, does wonderfully in a crate, and prefers to move through life at her own gentle pace.

She may not rush into your arms, but she will stay near you. Watching. This is to ensure that the information provided in the placement application aligns with the actual home setting. Depending on the animal and their needs multiple meet and greets may be required.
