With the right guidance he would be a fantastic dock diving dog.<br/><br/> He is excellent on leash. He is house trained. He is people friendly in neutral spaces. At home he becomes protective of his people and his space, which is natural for him but worth knowing.<br/><br/> For kids, older is better than younger. He would thrive with an active family that wants a go everywhere dog. Neutral, calm pets could be fine with slow and proper introductions. High-energy dogs and young puppies are not a match for him.<br/><br/> A privacy fence is the better choice for him. He can be reactive to other dogs through chain link and we are working on it with redirected ball play.<br/><br/> He should not be left unsupervised yet. He will get into things. He is too smart for his own good.<br/><br/>Ruger is sharp, loyal, and ready to bond hard with the right person.
