Ruger's Story

Meet Ruger!

Ruger is a handsome 3-year-old Boxer boy.

Ruger was found as a skinny stray wandering a neighborhood for weeks. A kind volunteer had been feeding him and realized he was injured and needed help ASAP. That small cut on his foot? It turned out to be almost to the bone. He had to undergo surgery and is now rocking a bandage while he heals like the brave boy he is. He's on crate rest because of his wound but he’s easy, calm, and very responsive to his foster mom. You can just tell he wants to be someone’s dog again.

Despite everything he’s been through... Ruger is unbelievably chill. He would enjoy a fur sister in his new home or be perfectly happy as your one and only. He
is 59 lbs of calm, loyal perfection.

Just had his first bone and was in absolute heaven.

LOVES the AC life indoors.

Enjoys watching TV like he pays the bills.

Car rides? A total natural. He would make the best copilot — doggy seatbelt clipped in, though honestly he didn’t even need it. He just relaxes and enjoys the ride.

Ruger isn’t high maintenance. He isn’t chaotic. He’s steady. He’s grateful. He’s the kind of dog who will quietly put his head on your lap and just be with you.

Available in the Northeast (NY, NJ, CT, RI, VT, PA, DE, MD, NoVA)

Apply to adopt:
www.chboxerrescue.com/adopt
