Ruger's Story
Ruger is a gorgeous full bred Labrador Retriever. This handsome boy is what you come to love from a Labrador! Ruger is fully vaccinated, neutered, and on monthly prevention and ready for his new home! He is 100 pounds but could stand to loose a little weight. 92 pounds is probably a better weight for him. Also, he is fully house trained.and no longer needs crating which is always a plus!
Ruger is good with all humans and dogs, cats included. He is a Labrador and still has plenty of energy left so gets super excited when new people enter the environment initially, but he calms down quickly. And Zero aggression in his demeanor ever!!! He's never showed one sign of aggression! What a gem!
Most of the time he is a lovable, restful, room companion but because of his breed, he would love a yard to run off some energy. If yiu know the breed then you know that Labs typically are active outside but calm down inside.
He is attentive and will alert you of any human movement outside the home. With that said, a close knit neighborhood where houses are very close together is probably not a great option as he thinks he's doing his job by letting you know that the neighbors dog is not outside! Additionally, an apartment complex is likely going to be too restrictive for him. Ruger has such an amazing temperament and is so easy to love. He is well behaved and would thrive in a place that had space and a yard to entertain him. He would be absolutely fine as an only dog or part of a small pack. Size doesn't matter to him. See how great he is!! Ruger is 7 years old which is the perfect middle age ....we call it the sweet spot age! The best way to begin a potential adoption is to directly email Storkwoods@comcast.net and request an application. You will love him!
